About the company:

TioTech AS is a Norwegian manufacturer of titanium dioxide (titania) nanomaterials and a developer of titania-based technologies, located in Bergen. Titania is our speciality, and we twist and tune our powders to make extraordinary battery materials. TioTech is a privately owned company, currently with seven highly qualified employees, backed by a solid board with C-level experience from some of Norway’s largest companies. To keep up with the rapid electrification of society and be able to provide the markets in need of fast-charging, long-lasting and robust batteries with titania, we are now speeding up our work – contributing to the green shift.

In TioTech, we make anode materials for Li-ion batteries that will be faster to charge, longer lasting and more robust than existing battery technologies. Batteries with our products are ideal for heavy-duty transportation, marine, energy storage and medical applications, and will speed up the electrification of these markets – which is essential to reach the UN sustainable development goals. The timing is now perfect for taking our innovative battery solution to the global market.

We are therefore looking for a Business Developer who sees the potential and challenge in providing battery cell producers with a brand-new battery material and who is ready to take on the important tasks of refining the company`s go-to market strategy and expand our customer and partner portfolios. The Business Developer will play an integral role in taking TioTech`s growth to the next level together with our management team. Your overall goal will be to strengthen TioTech’s position in the battery value chain. Incorporated in this lies work tasks like:

 

  • Market, competitor, and value chain analysis
  • Identify, research, and establish contact with customers and other stakeholders
  • Project management customer projects
  • Develop and deliver marketing material
  • Strategy development and implementation for the company and product portfolio
  • Strategic communication through different channels

 

To do this best, we believe that you:

  • Like to be “on-the-go”, establishing relationships and contacts nationally and internationally
  • Are interested in technology and able to communicate technological information in a clear and understandable manner
  • Have 2+ years’ experience with business development within technology, preferably but not necessarily from the battery value chain
  • Are familiar with navigating in complex value chains and establish projects/run sales processes
  • Have good understanding of economics
  • Speak and write English fluently, additional languages are an advantage.

 

Ideally you have a masters degree from engineering/ innovation/finance/business development/sustainable energy, but work experience, particularly within technical B2B, can make up for lack of formal qualifications. We also need you to be a self-going, initiative-rich and likeable person. You will be based in Bergen, but travelling will be a natural part of the job.
