Head of HR - Norwegian Hull Club
The Difference? It's the People.
Global, people-focused marine insurance company seeks a passionate, experienced and collaborative HR professional dedicated to operational excellence.
At Norwegian Hull Club, our employees are the cornerstone of our company – that’s one reason why we strive to be the employer of choice. Now, we are looking for an experienced Head of HR to lead our HR department; someone devoted both to operational excellence and providing strong support to the organisation. With just over 300 employees, the Norwegian Hull Club Group is large enough for you to apply your broad experience, while still being compact enough for you to know all your colleagues by name.
If you are intrigued by a role that balances strategic planning with hands-on responsibilities, you might be the one we are looking for.
What you’ll be doing:
As our Head of HR, you will act as a trusted advisor and partner to employees, leaders and management teams within our group. You will provide guidance in complex situations and ensure that HR practices are compliant, effective, and aligned with the company’s overall strategy and ambitions. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and enhancing HR-related strategies, policies and programmes that attract and retain a highly skilled, motivated, and committed workforce. To achieve this, you have an attention to detail to secure high-quality operations throughout the entire employee life cycle.
Knowledge sharing is a driving value for our company, and at the heart of our service concept. Your leadership skills and expertise will be instrumental to the sustained development of our HR function. In this role you will facilitate initiatives that further strengthen organisational culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while fostering competence, growth and development across our organisation.
You will support leaders with recruitment processes and be a trusted partner in change management and lead HR-related projects when needed.
In this role, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
Qualifications and preferred qualities:
To be considered for this position, you should be an experienced HR professional, with broad expertise across the HR field. You should also possess in-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Combining a strategic mindset with the ability to execute actions in a structured and hands-on manner, you will use your strong interpersonal skills together with a collaborative, pragmatic approach. In this way, you will be able to balance the needs of leaders, employees and our businesses as a whole.
You should thrive in a dynamic, international environment and bring valuable experience from previous organisational changes and international operations. A genuine interest in marine insurance and curiosity about the industry will help you connect with both people and business goals. Given the diversity of our employees, fluency in Norwegian and English is a must. You should also be confident in navigating different cultures and perspectives. With a warm, service-minded and solution-oriented approach, you will provide high-quality support to the entire organisation.
